After a long day of swimming and endless walking, all I wanted was a hot, toasty torta de jamon y queso. I came to Loncheria Dona Mary and let me tell you.. I have never tasted a torta THIS AMAZING. I also ordered a tamal and it was huge and tasty!!! 10/10 totally recommend!!! So good!!! Que Dios bendiga a este lugarcito!

This little lunch place is great. If you're looking for affordable, tasty, laid back, and a local flavor, this is it. I tried a variety of dishes, and enjoyed them all. I highly recommend the horchata (rice and milk drink with cinnamon), salbute (chicken, avocado, tomato on a flat bread), and empanada con carne molida (beef empanada). This is a repeat spot for me to visit. They're open late too.

Honestly I am not sure which dish is the best to order as a tourist, but the torte and Tamales are very delicious! As a dessert the Machados is surprisingly very very good! The prices are also perfect! You‘d pay much more at different places. The service is also very good and you will see only friendly faces. I really recommend it especially as a 1st time tourist to Mexico

Lowkey spot for authentic quick bites. The horchata was creamy, refreshing and sweet, perfect after a long day in the sun. The tamales were fantastic as well, packed with shredded chicken, the ultimate comfort food. It’s a popular spot with locals, so you know everything’s going to be delicious

It's a very local joint - expect plastic chairs and a table with a fan type of vibe. The popular dishes include sopas, tamales, empanadas and drinks (horchata, smoothies). The prices are cheap and the food is tasty. Special chicken soup (with liver and gizzard) (4.5/5): large bowl of flavourful soup with a lot of ingredients. The liver and gizzards were cooked well and adds different texture to the soup. Large mango smoothie (4/5) and small horchata (5/5): the large smoothie is really large but lacks mango flavours, the small horchata is very flavourful and creamy. Special chicken empanada mixta (4/5) and special beef empanada mixta (5/5): very reasonably priced and flavourful. We found that the ground beef really adds the flavour to the empanada, while the chicken was simple in flavours. Overall, we had a great time, and will come back again.

Well I don't remember the name, but most people had this for dinner so I did the same. The place was full at around 9pm, so that's a sign it must be good. Prices are affordable, food was delicious.

One of my favorite places in the entire Playa. Great food - tortas, panuchos, tamales, soup and empanadas. Everything is delicious. Price is excellent! Stuff is brilliant :) they memorize names of their frequent customers and greet them by name each time. That’s super cute and attentive. 10/10 recommended!

This was the most authentic Mexican spot we went to on our trip! The chicken soup was big enough for two and was so good, with lots of chicken! The tomales were very tasty and moist on bananas leafs. We also got emapanadas, a strawberry smoothie, and watermelon water; all so good! We went on a Friday night and there was live music and a killer vibe. And it’s SO cheap! This is a must try! Don’t be fooled by its hole-in-the-wall look
